Second time at this hotel. We were expecting a bigger room than last time, but when we checked in it was a very hurried process. Bedsheets were clean, unfortunately the bedspread at the bottom had stains that could be easily seen. Butler service was great, very friendly and courteous.
We do wish we would be welcomed with a little familiarity (I've since recommended this hotel to a lot of friends), but were a bit disappointed as it did not meet our heightened expectations from our first time experience.
Although it is not located at the shopping area, there are at least 5 convenient stores nearby incl. a special "Lawson Store" across the front door. There are some restaurants incl an early-open bakery store and McDonald at the building 1st and B1 floors respectively just next to the hotel.
The frequent shuttle bus is a plus. All staffs are decent especially the cleaning persons who insist not to take any tip.
The river view is amazing and jogging around the hotel is enjoyable even not in the cherry blossom season.
We stayed at twin bed rooms for 5 nights this time. The room space is good and neat but not showing its old age at all.
Highly recommended hotel for those travelers preferring a quiet and relaxing lodge.
